I feel good about yesterday, but not so about some few days before that, as I binged!

My difficulty is to resist foods in my house which I bought for my son (such as biscuits, sweets, chocolate), as its the festive season, then I end up eating more of this at the end!

I don't even enjoy the taste of these foods so much, its just that I eat and eat after the taste, and eventually I end up feeling bad and guilty, and find myself not wanting to go out of the house at all, as I feel such a failure!

Last year I was on a low carb, medium protein, high fat lifestyle for a few months - and I really progressed excellently. I lost 15kg and did not have cravings. This lifestyle became my routine, and I loved how I felt, and was proud of myself managing my eating habits so well.

Then...

I began eating carbohydrates again, and found it difficult to get back into my routine as before. I suddenly craved lots of food, and I would eat throughout the day, without limits. Very soon I picked up all the weight I lost and even more!

I did attempt a few times to get back into the LCHF routine again, but my weight loss was slow and I did not understand what it could be. Over this period I fell seriously ill and was admitted into hospital with pneumonia. My pulmologist was delighted when he heard that I was on the LCHF diet, and he encouraged me to continue with it - and cautioned me that carbohydrates had a very negative effect on many people's health.

I continued with LCHF, but where I went wrong, was that I ate limitlessly - I also ate too much cream cheese, berries, cream...

I did not keep track of what I was eating at all. I was actually consuming more carbohydrates than I should have! That's why I still craved foods in between and why my weight loss stalled.

I am so happy about being here on fatsecret. Its great to be able to record what I eat - and I am so excited about the LCHF challenge I created here on fatsecret - which begins next week and Monday.

And what's very amazing, is that 12 people have joined this challenge!
