Am missing my afternoon snack (apple and almonds). This may be a long 16 days!

Diet Calendar Entry for 31 December 2012:
1934 kcal Fat: 164.27g | Prot: 66.70g | Carb: 38.04g.   Breakfast: egg, deli turkey, brewed coffee, brewed coffee, heavy whipping cream, heavy whipping cream. Lunch: dill pickle, Miscl - add 3 carbs, Hellmanns, turkey, egg, iceburg lettuce. Dinner: Dole Salad, sour cream, avacado, cucumber, Kens Chunky, baby greens, salsa verde, strip steak. Snacks/Other: brewed coffee, heavy whipping cream. more...

Buffy - I am constantly hungry. I know it is the switch to lower carbs but it is driving me nuts. I decided yesterday as long as I don't go over the net-carbs I don't care about the calories. Had more than my allowance but no more net-carbs. Hope it helps to get over this hump and once there I can pay more attention to my calorie intake.

20 net carbs is a great goal - the more protein the better, right? But, it is a challenge. I have had many many carbs this week....

In the beginning, don't worry about your calorie intake. Focus on consuming the right carbs at the right amount. 10 to 15 should come from a veggie source. The rest can come from meats, cheese etc. You may mistaking hunger for thirst or withdrawals from sugar and refined carbs. Stick to it. After you get through the withdrawals, you will not be very hungry. Also check out flax bread. It's in the recipes. Hardly has any carbs and is very filling and high in fiber. Slather it with coconut oil and cinnamon, or toast with butter, have a sandwich with your salad. It's very filling and sometimes hits the "mental spot". You think you're having carbs, but you're not getting effective carbs. Good Luck! You have the power to do anything you set your mind to!

HCB - it is only for 16 days to jump start my rehab. You did so well this Christmas - I am jealous!
