I am extremely discouraged. I've eaten significantly less, consistently exercised and have had no results. I was very active in high school, on a varsity sports team all year round. I was fat then because I always ate huge portions of my mom's delicious (though healthy) cooking. I also loved snacks and would easily give in to cravings. Since college not only is the food calorically dense, including the salads with enriched ingredients, but it's also very salty. when I cook for myself I make healthy choices, sometimes cutting out added salt and sugar completely, and making good decisions when it comes to ingredients. I also eat smaller portions. But this is impossible at school as I do not have my own kitchen, and impossible at home since my mom loves to cook. I can only do this when I'm alone, which is rare. I eat significantly less now, only two healthy, balanced meals a day with an iced latte and a small, healthy snack, I do mini workouts, focusing on areas of the body as well as light cardio, and ABSOLUTELY NO CHANGE. AM I GOING TO BE FAT FOREVER?! I actually feel like I'm getting bigger, more bloated. I have so much fat EVERYWHERE. it's not focused on one area of the body (like I have fat upper arms, fat upper legs, but normal lower arms and legs, and a fat stomach and sides, but small breasts and my collar bones stick out distinctly). I have a relatively thin face as well, that is, my head looks like its on the wrong body. my body is all fat and bloated, and just massive, whereas my face looks normal. I don't get it. I don't know what to do anymore. I hate my body, and, for many other reasons, I hate myself. I'm so sick of not making any progress. What the f##k is wrong with me?

Hi Seryn, Just some thoughts. - Your body is feeling starved and is conserving your energy (weight) - Go from two to FIVE small meals per day, this will fool your body into burning fat, without adding calories. - Go low carb high protein, and try using protein shakes for your mid morning and mid afternoon meals. - Record everything you eat! The phone app from here works great for me. - Holidays are tough, so start fresh on Jan 1st. I'm trying to get back to my college weight, after 20+ years. Don't think my High School weight will happen though.
