Eringiffin's Journal, 28 December 2012

Finally bit the bullet and recorded a weigh in. This is after 2 days of trying to get back on track. It was a lot higher.

Yesterday I had a little bit of a hiccup in the plan when I shared a truely decadent piece of cake with the hubby. Even so, I lost 1.8 lbs that day which goes to show how much water I have been retaining.

Today I feel a little less bloated and clothes are fitting a tad bit better. The first day back on plan, I did all protein. Yesterday I had a couple of salads and the aforementioned cake.

Have I mentioned lately how bad I need a vacation? Ugh!
240.0 lb Lost so far: 74.6 lb.    Still to go: 80.0 lb.    Diet followed poorly.

Great job. focusing on what we eat helps even if its the decadent stuff. A treat now and then is good for you. Keep up the good work and I hope you get a vacation soon.

I think most of the weight gain over the holiday is water weight, all those extra carbs and salt. Still I'm not looking forward to weighing in tomorrow, somedays I didn't even track my food I just knew it was a lot.

Fulla, I definitely took a tip from your playbook to savor the cake with all my senses and took my time eating it. It was a chocolate bundt cake and it was warm and very moist. It had chocolate syrup on the plate and vanilla ice cream. FOL, I have almost an entire week that I didn't journal for the same reason, hehe. I expect flashing lights and sirens to erupt on my diet calendar if I exceed 4000 calories, lol. Ranchwoman... thanks! :)

Way to go girl..some tines there is no rhyme or reason for the gains.. but if its fluid..thats easy to get rid of..keep up the good work..:O)

I'm glad you enjoyed the cake because you should. If you spend those calories then you should be eating something good.

Hey Erin - I ended up back here to stop the damage of the depressed pity party I was living in!!! :) (long story) Anyway, I am so glad to see you are still here, and still working at it! Happy New Year to you!!! And just for the record... time to move on from 'food' having such an alluring draw. Put all the pieces together working in synergy and LET's DO THIS !!! Much Love.
