I hope that everyone had a wonderful Christas with their families and friends. I did have some sweets that were not on plan and did have some ham biscuit for breakfast yesterday morning.

I am not going to weigh for a couple of days and that is for a couple of reasons...the off plan food but also TOM is around the corner and that will show up too on the scale. I am happy to be back on plan today. I think I had some emotional eating involved too. My truck window was smashed in on Sunday (at the Humane Society) and my purse stolen from the floor board. I know I should not have left it in but there were so many people in and out and in and out walking the dogs that I thought it would be safe. The joke was on them because I had no cash and we cancelled any credit cards. However, I have to report my passport stolen and go through all of that. I think with TOM and then the purse I felt like crying all day Monday and did some off and on. I am sure that is where the eating of the sweets came from.

I think I have my head wrapped around it and am back on plan now. DH has been sick and is off today (that is a good thing). I am back to work today (also a good thing), but trying to get Friday off for my final vacation day so I do not lose it.

Oh and I have to cancel our trip this weekend to the dude ranch because the paperwork that I needed was in my purse (put it in there so I would not forget) and now they have our address and we just are not comfortable going out of town right now.

Had a great dinner though and I did not eat rolls (although I did eat the pralines). I did not eat macaroni and cheese. I had ham, twice baked cauliflower, squash, roasted green beans and roasted brussel sprouts. Oh and I did have some white wine with dinner.

So back to regular eating and happy about that! Here is to finishing up our year on a positive note and on to starting the new one on a positive note as well!

How terrible about your purse being taken from your truck! I agree with you about not going out of town now that the thieves know about your plans. Hard to believe people do these things but I guess the panic/stress associated with the holidays makes some people pretty desperate. Have a great (short!) week!

OMG Jaime - what an ordeal! One day I was stopping to drop off gift cards for our local police and thought the same thing (leave purse on floorboard, of all places it should be safe here!) but just as I was heading in I saw some of the folks pulling up to the station and turned around and got it. Crazy crazy people out there - desperate lazy evil people who'd rather steal than earn. I'm so sorry. I'd be as concerned about leaving as you - part of me would rationalize your purse has already been dumped but you're right, you could have the only window smasher with an analytical side. Any chance of having a good friend house sit for you?? Again, I'm so sorry and applaud your strength! I'd have probably crawled inside a bag of peanut butter reeses and ate my way out!

Thanks y'all. It is hard to believe...I mean you read about it and my house was robbed on Mother's Day last year (we moved this year) and I felt better. However, our new neighbor's were robbed over the summer so doesn't matter where you live. Whether it is out on a farm (where we were before) or in a nice neighborhood with nice neighbors. I guess it works out anyway since the DH has been sick most of the week and will probably need this weekend to recover. Yes you think my purse will be safe in the floorboard for a few minutes in a busy place with people in and out but not so. The things they use to break glass is like a 10 second process and then they are gone. There are so many evil people out in the world. You know they do not think either...people take their beloved fur babies to the Humane Society to be euthanized too. What if I had been there to have that done to a fur baby and then came out to that. Just terrible...so I guess better me than someone that may have been there that day having to do something so heartbreaking already. Bella it would be just my luck to have a window smasher with an analytical side. My only hope would be if they are that they come here during the day when I am working (not knowing that I work from home) and think the house is empty. Then they can meet me and my shot gun. I think it was bad enough that I got into the pralines.....it definitely would have been ON if I had peanut butter reeses in the house....that is surely a weakness....I love peanut butter and chocolate!!!!! I hope you ladies have a great day.
