Had a nice little reminder last night of the progress I've made, after some of my frustrations over the last week. I went out and saw a few of my best friends who I haven't seen for a while, and they all separately and immediately noticed and commented on my weight loss. I wasn't sure it was that noticeable so that was a really nice and motivating boost! Plus I wore a fairly clingy little black velvet dress which I definitely couldn't have worn a month ago.

I'm sure my alcohol consumption last night can't have done me any calorie favours, but I hope to drag my hungover self out of bed and at least go for a walk as some achievable exercise for the day. Walking the hour or so into town yesterday was the only exercise I managed then too, but I figure over the holidays its good to at least stick the principle of doing something rather than making it an all or nothing approach, otherwise I'm more likely to end up doing nothing!

Oh and also my scales in my parents' house weighs me as 6lbs less then my scales back at my flat. I don't know which is right but I sure hope its the former!

Phibs that sounds great. I love seeing people I haven't seen in a while. I know what you mean about the scale. My home scale sucks SO BAD. I literally have to lose ten pounds for my scale to go down 2 clicks. It's stuck at 180 where my gym scale registers 172. I stick with the gym scale - it's a doctor's sliding scale, and I figure it's important to just stick to the same scale. So I do. When I get weighed at the doctor's office, their scale is a pound or two off from the gym scale, so that's good enough for me. Don't worry about making miraculous progress in two weeks or whatever - I have weighed the same for 3 months now, I am super frustrated. Any bit of progress is good!
