UGH, my desk is the dropping ground for all of the cookies and cakes and yummy chocolaty goodness in my office.
I was having an off day and I gave into the goodies....
I had a sugar cookie, and chocolate covered peanut clusters. Why do I do this to myself??
I could make excuses all day long. They were staring at me and doing an eat me dance, they were laughing at me. Really I don't know how I consumed the entire cookie I think it jumped in my mouth and down my throat. Really it did. Hang out at my office and you will see how talented this food is around here. It does backflips into your mouth, I am NOT joking
We have Tollhouse Sugar cookies with the almond frosting, we have snicker doodle cookies with a rolo in the middle, we have peanut clustes, we have pepermint brownies, we have peanut butter brownies. we also have chocolate spoons. YES Spoons. I had never heard of them before but you take a plastic spoon and dip the end (eating side) into chocolate and cover with whatever goodies you want and use the spoons to stir your coffee, hot coco etc and it adds chocolately goodness. They have a tray of spoons with peppermint, and butterscotch. I think they are doing a dance too.
BUT even with all of these yummy treats around it is still MY decision to pick it up and put it in my mouth and I tend to do it without thinking about what I am doing. Then when I am thinking about it I am strong for a few minutes but then it cracks and I take a bite. I have moved all of the treats out of my sight now and I am chewing a pieces of sugar free gum and sucking down a LOT of water.
Tomorrow I want to call in sick because I know that is our official "goodies" day at the office and I am not sure I am strong enough right now to refuse them if there is more here. (I have heard a rumor of a peanut butter jelly cake. can we say YUM)

Just throw them in the trash. Everyone will get the clue real quick. They are not helping you, so show them that! Otherwise enjoy the magic.

I know how it is with temptation staring you in the face. I can barely deal with sugar free baked goods and Christmas sweets that my neighbors bring over. I have to throw it out - and I mean really throw it out - throw it down the garbage disposal, or else I will give in and eat it. I know how hard it is. Just try your best to get through the holidays, then come January 2, 2013 you will be ready to tear it up again!

I think it was a good idea for you to find another place for all the goodies to sit. Keep them out of your sight. When people drop the goodies at your desk, try and ask them to put them in another place. If they are your co-workers, ask them to help you stay on track with your diet. Everyone at my job knows I'm trying to diet and they don't tempt me with the goodies. It's really been a big help to me. Keep some healthy snacks at your desk so when you are weak you can put something healthy in your mouth--carrots or fruit is good for this. Keep up the good work!!

I'm situated right next to the coffee machine, and this is where the Xmas goodies are. So everyone will come say hi to me as always, as they are getting a cup of coffee. And EVERY-FRICKIN'-SINGLE-ONE of them will be muching on something delish. They know my situation, and they just say "well we know how determined you are, so we're not worried about you". Thanks a lot. :/

I had to spend two weeks in the office and it made me realize that I have a food addiction. There was no such thing as having just one goodie and I failed miserable at staying away from all that delicous crap. Now I'm struggling to get back into the goove.
