Just trying to be mindful of how I've spent my day:

Good actions / choices:
- Didn't let coming home for christmas be a feeble excuse for not exercising and went for a week 2 level running app jog.
- Had my first communal meal with my family of the holidays (I normally cook my own) and refused the chips and bread and butter that the others were having with their vegetable omelette.
- Allowed myself to feel hungry on the train instead of buying a 'not too bad' snack.
- Resisted the urge for an aperitif - I know I'm going out for drinks tomorrow, doesn't mean I have to start now.

Not so good actions / choices:
- Didn't record my food intake in my notebook. It might not be feasible to keep up a calorie count now I'm eating my mum's food, but recording in general would at least make me mindful of what I was eating and stop the next bad behaviour...
- several instances of unnecessary snacking on high cal food/scavenging the house for titbits. My mum had left some delicious chocolatey offcuts from her baking out on the side which my eyes locked on to as soon as I came in and I hoovered them up instead of hunting out something healthy to fill me. And I had two unnecessary (although very thin) slices of banana bread.

I WILL exercise again tomorrow and stay conscious of my choices. I'll enjoy my evening drinks without using them as an excuse to be bad all day, and I'll make myself drink spirits and diet mixer instead of delicious but sugary half price cocktails!
