Desteni1980's Journal, 15 December 2012

I actually started medifast on Thursday but im just getting around to this today. I started at 266 down to 263.5 today. yesterday was realy hard I laid in bed last night not able to sleep because I felt like I was starving to death.. I had all my meals and lean and green and water yesterday. It added up to just under 800 caloies. Finally around 2:30 am I broke down and had a few saltine crackers to quell the hunger pangs. Its funny that I was so hungry because I normally eat like a bird! Does it get easier?? Luckily the crackers didnt seem to affect my weigh in this morning.I have done medifast before and it didnt seem this hard. I go in for testing tomorrow for PCOS. The doctor thinks this could be the reason behind my weight gain. That and they tell me I dont eat enough.. (I will never for the life of me understand that one..) We shall see.

Big tip if you are going to break down try some things first... --(From the quick start guide) Cravings usually last 15 minutes. Drink some water and have 15 min chores written down and handy that you can do to break your focus on hunger. -- If that does not do it have an extra medifast meal. -- If that does not do it have some egg whites. I like the carton type cause the temptation is not there for the yolk and its all protein. -- Hitting the carbs even a few crackers will only mess with your blood sugar and kick you out of ketosis and cause more cravings. Ketosis is the key to Medifast!

Oh yeah great start! I know first hand from experience that excuses are the gateway to going off plan and later quitting any diet. Be strong you can do it!
