Hello all! Finally got access to the computer (kids are still in bed), so I thought I should share a bit of my week. Thursday morning I went to the doctor for a 2 week follow up visit. Blood pressure was down, a lot! Doctor thought check up anxiety had contributed to such a high reading last time. Also I had it taken a few times at home and those readings confirmed it wasn't as high as we first thought. He wants it to be lower because it is still a bit too high but I don't have to take meds!! That makes me so happy. Now I have even more resolve to exercise regularly, watch sodium and lose some pounds! Also, all my cancer screenings were negative. I spent basically the rest of the day cleaning the house and putting up the Christmas tree and decorations. My good checkup gave me lots of energy! The doctor put my info (age, sex, cholesterol, non smoker etc) into a software program that predicts how likely you are to have a heart attack in 10 years. It said I had a 1% chance. Pretty good odds I'd say. Dr. said my low chance was mostly attributed to being female, not smoking and having a very high good cholesterol number (ldl I think). He called it little scrubbers cleaning the plaque caused by the bad cholesterol out of my arteries. He is such a cute Dr. :) Yesterday my youngest daughter, who is going to graduate school in New York, came home. She is staying for a month! This makes me so happy. I think we will have a wonderful holiday. Hi, great to get all those good results healthwise. My nurse has always to take my blood pressure twice to enable me to settle. Lucky you, good cholesterol, keep up the good work. So nice to have the family together for Christmas, have a lovely time together. xx

Wow that was a good check up. So glad you don't have to take those blood pressure meds, they make you tired and weak.
