Sandy701's Journal, 13 December 2012

Feeling about the same today...not perfect, but workable. Walked the dogs 2.6 miles this morning, working my way back to more usual mileage; weather cloudy and in the mid-40's.

Today, I plan to be a Christmas wrapping fool! I'd like to finish up the last 2 people whose gifts need to be shipped and then get the packages to the pick-up place tomorrow. These last 2 people are in residential facilities, so I try to get the gifts there as close to the holiday as possible, as the gifts are generally opened upon arrival.

Lots of other household work to be done, but I'm taking things at a reasonable pace and need to plan a short nap in there somewhere, too. This is the time where I know my cold could take a turn either way and I want it to get BETTER!!! Considering how careful I am, especially during the cold and flu season, I'm surprised I caught one.

I'm supposed to be a volunteer for the Angel Tree organization of the returned gifts today, but I won't be there. They have a lot of other volunteers so I don't feel too bad about skipping it this year. By taking it easier at home today, I should be able to do my volunteer work with a different group tomorrow.

I think you have the best quick recovery plan, good job taking care of you. You will still get a work out with all that gift wrapping, funny, but I don't recall seeing that activity in the excercise log drop down choice list, perhaps it should be. Hope you keep feeling better.

Maybe you'll feel better the longer you are up. I hope so. Would certainly be nice if you could finish your wrapping and other tasks and not be in misery. And of course it is better to stay at home and rest. No need to pass around your sickness. Take care.

Bren, I feel like this week has been a lost week. Sure, I got some stuff done but not nearly what I had expected to do. Oh well....it is what it is, as they say. Have a good weekend.
