Talk about emotional eating! I found out some bad news yesterday in regards to ANOTHER transfer out of the desert! Anyway, looks like I wont be going anywhere soon, at least until contract termination end of next year (2013). No biggie. It is the 3rd time I have tried to transfer out. I am more than qualified. I guess the money to move me and my family is an obstacle for the company.

I am essentially an indentured servant because the company has paid for my schooling. Not too big of a deal, I mean I have gotten a lot of tuition lately. The rules say I have to stick around a few years. Unless we lose the contract...

But I ate a big lunch at Mac Grill, one of their little pizza's. Planned on a very lite dinner (that's how I roll). Got the bad news in the afternoon, kind of like a mind-f**k. And then went home and was gonna hit the local pub, but wifey was not down with my "Lets go get drunk!" plans. So, I had a frittata (Thanks Jess, I make these ALL the time now) on a pita like a breakfast pizza (only 2 eggs). Then some nilla wafers with peanut butter and nuttella dipping sauce.

Body feels good, soreness getting gone. I was supposed to ride the bike last night but it was gale force winds (literally), so I stayed in!

I was thinking at the stove about emotional eating. I mean some people shoot heroin, some drink, some smoke. Doing SOMETHING over emotions is essentially normal. You may scream, you may put you hands in your pants, but it is a normal healthy reaction. Anyway, I am ok with what happened, and my weight today, and even... my job today. XD

I seem to have missed the boat on the frittatas. Explain please? :) Could you inbox me? Those emotions really have a good grip in us, don't they? Sorry about the bad news, JP. Don't let the bastards bring you down.

The nice folks that support our troops are giving out Cupcakes! Georgetown Cupcakes, and they are the freaking best cupcakes I ever had. I had a peanut butter one that was insanely good. I almost want to say screw it and go get a box of them!!

Wow peanut butter cupcakes? If I was in your shoes, I would have already had 2 boxes with one gone lmbo. But, I do understand the emotional habits, I smoke everyday! But, when I'm over stressed I seem to over eat. I really need to work on both of those things.

Emotional eating?! I had a fit of that & fell in it. I had to "sample" my latest cookies; 1 cranberry orange coconut, 2 lemon blueberry coconut., one twin chocolate delight, and one snickerdoodle. I managed to pass up the praline charlottes I frosted this evening. My stomach was upset all day & I ate fairly light, then the day's stresses piled up and kaplooey! There was a shooting at a nearby mall on Tuesday, then today there was a horrible one at a school across the country, but all over the news, emotions are raw around here. I should have taken all my cookies over to the candlelight vigil at the mall tonight, but I just couldn't go. They just reopened the mall today; the whole thing was a crime scene. Anyway, enough of all that! Keep up the positive attitude ; I wish you would have gotten good news. I guess a good eduction is worth it all in the long run. I admire you for being able to get it done. I have a worthless associate in arts in elementary education. When my financial aid fell through I just quit, found work as a grocery checker. You rock!

Thanks everyone, and CK! Yes, I heard that bad news, and it is nasty what happens. They say out west that mall shooting that people and the police are learning what to do in that situation (Get away, get safe) and the police have learned those whacko's who do that basically quit or kill themselves once confronted. What a wild world we live in when we all start to learn such morbid things. PS, The news might not be all bad as far as my Transfer, but I will wait and see.

Hey! I always believed emotional eating is not the proper way out of stressful moments. Anyway, it's way better and healthier than heroin or alcohol or smoke or agressive behaviour. At some tough moments it's a relief to have some sweet stuff, it's so true!

Yes Lizzie, it is so much better for us than some other really bad choices we can make. I think sometimes we put to much emphasis on beating ourselves up because we have a cookie or a piece of chocolate. lol. Its like the guilt some of us have when we drink too much, and for others, its no worry at all. Weird.
