Back from Laughlin, didn't win a single thing except a few pounds due to the buffets! Bah.

Goal: Lose the 5 pounds gained in the last few months by Christmas.

I guess 180 pounds by Christmas wasn't taking into consideration the holiday food factor. I'm coming to terms with it.

I worked out last night for the first time in a few weeks. It felt wonderful, of course. I can definitely tell I've backtracked. Tummy sticks out a little bit. I'll whip myself back into shape and starting January 1st, I'm back on! No excuses. This will be fun, and I will feel great. I'm trying to let up on myself and focus back on health.

My aunt passed away almost exactly one year ago. She passed away at the age of 38 due to complications of her health because of her diabetes. The night it happened was the terrifying night I decided that there is no day but today to focus on my health. This was the night I decided I couldn't go on living the way I was. I wanted to focus on my health to honor her. I can't imagine leaving behind my friends or family at a young age and them feeling the pain I did. I'm 24 years old, and it's never too late to change your path.

So I look back on this last year and look at my progress and my happiness, and I think my aunt would be so proud. I miss her daily.

I'm sure she looks down on you and feels great pride in you, she's probably one of your guardian angels now. As you know the Holidays are hard for all of us foodies, some do better than other but we all do our best and when Jan. comes around we seem to get back on track with food and exercise. I've really had a tough time with both since Merlin got sick and now another one of my kitties is sick too their both 12 years old anyway I'm off track but Jan is just around the corner and I'll do my best until then and then back to normal. Enjoy your Holidays.
