Katirae's Journal, 29 November 2012

Not particularly happy with this weigh-in, but a LOT has happened since the last time I logged in on this site. I trained for and completed my second full marathon. Unfortunately, I fell down on a short run a few days before race day, and hurt my knee, which threw my time goal that I had trained for completely off track. I guess that just means I get to tackle 26.2 again sometime soon, and get that time goal I wanted! Now I'm getting back on track with food journaling and doing HIIT to knock off a couple of those pounds that have snuck up on me in the last few months.
146.0 lb Lost so far: 54.0 lb.    Still to go: 6.0 lb.    Diet followed reasonably well.

This is really belated, but congrats on completing another marathon! (Coincidentally, both of my parents are or were runners who have done lots of long distance running. I don't remember if my mom did any full marathons, but I know she's run at least 1 or 2 half marathons. My sis seems to have taken up the torch and enjoys running. She hopes to complete a marathon, or at least a half marathon some day.) Personally 26.2 miles is about 26 miles more than I'd ever want to run/ jog. :P However, I have a lot of respect for runners because it takes training, dedication and lots of endurance to do it well. Kudos for doing it again! :)
