Rowanfair's Journal, 22 June 2010

So 18 lbs in two months more or less. The funny thing is that it makes me want to lose faster rather than just be happy with this very reasonable pace. One loses so much the first few weeks that the slow and steady one-ish pound a week seems snail's pace.

But my stomach continues to be happy with this WOE which is huge. I have pretty much added coffee back to my diet (1 cup, 2-4 times a week) which I never thought I'd see. And I can eat tomatoes and other "acidic" things without thinking about it.

Went to an Indian restaurant at lunch and I do miss naan and coconut chutney and mango ice cream. But the tandoori and butter chicken was lovely still.

Tonight I will get on the exercycle! I have been slacking off since I got back from NOLA. First I "threw out" my back and then I stubbed a toe so hard I was afraid I'd broken it. *sigh* Getting older is not for the faint of heart.

But two more pounds to lose and I'll be in Onderland and I will have lost four 5lb bags of flour that I don't have to carry everywhere. Go me.

I know what you mean about the slow pace. it can be really frustrating when it slows down. But, the slower the pace, the more likely the weight to stay off for good. I'll be cheering for you when you get into Onederland. Quite a way for me to go yet before I get there!
