So, I am on phase 2. I am not losing any weight and I am a bit frustrated. I am going to eat more calories than I have been lately to see if that is the problem.

Just a thought but my RMR (resting metabolic rate) is showing that I shoul deat about 1700 calories to stay at current weight so if I cut it down to 1500 and add a 2.5 mile walk, I should be able to lose a lb a week. I am going to see how this goes for a week or 2. If still no progress, then I am out of solutions.

198.0 lb Lost so far: 4.0 lb.    Still to go: 33.0 lb.    Diet followed reasonably well.
gaining 0.9 lb a week

Hmmm... well, I know that if I eat more than 1200-1400 calories a day, I will not usually lose. 1500 may work out to be a good number for you, but for me it's too much. 1200-1400 seems to be a general rule of thumb for weight loss, according to the docs I've talked to, anyways. This took some figuring out for me... I really had to work with my portion controls and adding in more veggies. After working hard, I was able to get my stomach to shrink down and not be so hungry and more satisfied. I drank a lot of flavored green tea to calm my hunger in between eating times, and tried to eat 5 small meals a day, every 2-3 hours. Don't give up! You'll find what will work out for you! :)

I know that when I went from phase 1 to phase 2, it took nearly the full 2 weeks to lose any weight. Try the diet page to keep track of what your eating. Knowing how may calories you are taking in and expending had really helped me.

I have to second what bullytrouble is saying. Also, it's important in phase 2 to start by adding one new carb at a time and give is several days until you know you are still losing weight with the addition of that new carb. Then proceed to another new carb. In phase 2 you should still lose 1-2 pounds a week, if not then you are eating new carbs that either are, too many bad carbs, or a carb that doesn't agree with your body. Hope that helps! Try adding carbs that are lowest in the glycemic index, that's what I did and it worked for me anyway. You'll get it figured out.
