I am just beginning understand about the cravings caused by carbohydrates. I had a free slice of bread at the supermarket this yesterday morning and I couldn’t stop eating all day. This was my first piece of bread in a long time. I ended up eating about 3000 calories for the day and gaining weight. I haven’t eaten this many calories in over 7 months. I guess I learned a lesson.

well sorry to hear you liked the bread to much, but mabye you needed or thought you needed it..just means you got somethin to work off again..more motivation to get it off!!!!

LOL It wasn't the bread that I was eating all day. I only had one slice of that. It was a lot of other stuff. I just couldn't satisfy my appetite, I just kept looking for something to eat all day.

You probably gained in water due to sodium as well, so flush your body with lots of water and I'll bet you can reverse most of the damage!! :) I have to consciously start my day with some protein, and try not to eat with out it in every meal or snack. Keep up the good work, YOU can DO IT!

That's very interesting about the bread. This is an example of how our bodies all react differently to different foods. Bread doesn't seem to affect me at all. Great chart Gug, keep up the good work.

now how come I didn't see this journal?? I had the same problem this weekend in D-land. I ate a corndog after hours of starving, and for the rest of the day, I literally could not control my eating! I ate chocolate candies, doughnuts, cake, dinner rolls...you name it! Just because I didn't peel the breading off of my corndog! The whole carb craving thing is real! I second that!

I seem to have so many foods that trigger cravings, its difficult to avoid them all. Some of them are healthy foods too (like my nuts). You have done a great job paying attention to what your body responds to. Good work!
