Don't know what happened with the scales yesterday because today I got on them and it was 219.6! I had got below that 220 I have been working towards and was so disappointed not to have reached yesterday. I don't think avoiding the scales for a week works for me. I was so upset yesterday that I went a blew my diet on a pastry - okay, only a little one (200 calories) but I have been meticulously good for the last 4 weeks.
219.6 lb Lost so far: 12.9 lb.    Still to go: 79.6 lb.    Diet followed reasonably well.

Congrats! Sometimes we simply tend to retain water. I read somewhere that it could be up to as much as 15% of your body weight. As already said, don't give up. And sometimes we do need a break from our diet - so don't worry about the pastry - especially since it was only a small one. Keep it up.

Boy, don't I know that feeling. It can be a bit frustrating but you have to keep at it. You are doing a fine job - be patient and forgiving with yourself.
