Mmmm new "diet" meal discovered which I like and is low in calories.

Gammon and salad.

1 x 200g gammon steak is only about 275cal. Which is a lot of gammon (I still had 2, I wouldn't again though even I struggled)
The salad was less than 150cal and huge (half a bag of mixed salad, 1 whole cucumber, and a small punnet of cherry tomatoes) filled the plate.

I want to increase my morning/day meals, and decrease the calories of my evening meal. As it makes sense to me that eating half/most of your days calories right before bed is less than optimal for weight loss.

Diet Calendar Entry for 19 October 2012:

I never eat after 8pm and prefer before 7pm. I wish i could eat thru the day and not in the evening but it just doesn't work cos if i do i tend to graze all day. Oh and are you star trekking this weekend... I wish i could have :(

Apparently eating a protein dense small snack (such as a serving of cottage cheese, a small protein shake or a boiled egg) just before bed (along with plenty of water), is a great way to keep your metabolism ticking over. Perhaps divide your last meal of the day - one as soon as you get in from work, another a couple of hours before bed, and then that final small snack before bed. I find something around 5-6pm, then again at 8ish works really well for me, as then I get to bed 2-3 hrs after that and I've digested.

No this week was the photography course. Next week is the Comic-Con. There is a Star Trek thing this weekend I think. Thanks for that Buttercreambunny. I really felt it for the first time today. Up and down a hill while on the Photo course. I am 99.9% sure I couldn't have managed it 4 months ago.
