I love my Buddies! And I truly appreciate others on FS who stop by to offer their encouragement! But I would like to reflect on something HCB said a while back. Are we sometimes too kind?

Maybe we'd be more helpful if we asked each other:
- Are you staying on plan?
- Why did you choose to eat that?
- Did you not prepare for this (birthday, holiday, etc.) occasion?
- Did you not learn anything? What will you do differently next time?

We are all different and some of us need the kid glove approach. And I know I've said some harsh things on here that I regret deeply. But, speaking for myself, I can come up with enough excuses on my own without someone providing them for me.

So, please feel free to "tell it like it is"! I promise I'll take the critique in the spirit in which it was intended.

Today I am thankful for those who understand me.

I would be grateful if someone would yell at me for half of what I put in my mouth. Or come up behind me and smack the candy bar out of my hand.

Tracy - Good point! Maybe I'll find better uses for the elliptical other than hanging my bras to dry.

Buffy -- I hear what you are saying and a very thought provoking entry. I would much rather someone tell me the error of my ways then let me continue down the path of destruction. We can all be that kind of friend for each other!!

I don't mind helpful hints and gentle nudges in the right direction. Each journal is personal. Some people will go overboard with criticism because they think their way is the only way. It's not one size fits all as you told me before, Buff. Be careful what you ask for. LMAO!!! That being said.... you have never offended me.... cause we are good buddies.... and I think you have been doing an awesome job. YOU GOT THIS NOW! Hugs!

Good point Buffy- I know I love the gentle approach in most cases BUT I really don't change anything until I am reprimanded and told to get my act together :) Thanks for your observation and making us think about our motivation.

Mom - I have been guilty of that before. But maybe I've finally learned that just because something worked for me doesn't mean it will work for someone else.

Newmooney - You never know what that one special thing will be that will motivate someone. Of course, when someone on FS is really dedicated, I like to come along for the ride!

Mom - PS - What exactly do you mean by "be careful what you wish for"? What exactly do you have in mind? Should I be nervous?

So - how are you doing with drinking your water every day? That may help with the food consumption. Logging everything and maybe watching your fat grams could also help - it doesn't seem as if you are off track but perhaps just discouraged. E - lip - ti - cal!

Okay Buff... we have all gained a bit of weight these last few days. The party is over.... let's hop to it. No more grazing, no more off plan...... we have to turn the scale around, right? Just do it... don't think about it. It's go go go go! ;) (I was a drill sergeant in a previous life). Hugs!

Why don't we agree amongst our usual little group here that we exercise more tough love???? I have sometimes wanted to say something, but when you don't know how it's going to be taken, you usually back off - but whoever agrees that we need to be a bit more stern with each other, maybe just agree here. I did try a bit of tough love on OWW but it seems to have made people back off....
