Yay! The scale moved! I've been cool with this plateau, but I sure am doing a happy dance now that I've lost another 2/10ths of a pound. Isn't it funny how those numbers on a scale can affect our moods? That change on the scale is just a reflection of the changes I see in my body. I guess it seems like a more concrete measure of results of my hard work.
Went shopping at Marshalls last night & got long-sleeved T's, a perfect sports bra, a work out top. While my partner was buying, I found a blouse I loved & a pair of slacks; we bought them without me trying them on. I didn't think the blouse would fit, as it's a tailored style. I tried it on as soon as we got home & it's perfect! The slacks are too loose & have to be returned. I had to get new clothes;I don't have cool-weather clothes that fit and cold weather is coming soon. Nights are downright chilly & I have to wear a jacket to the gym in the morning. Oh crud, I probably need to buy a winter coat.
Losing weight has a few costs but the rewards more than make up for it!

I'm right there with you on the "no cool weather clothes." I have to lose another 10 lbs quickly so those size 20 hand-me-downs in my drawers fit comfortably. They fit, zip and button now, but are just a leetle tight for comfort. Happy dance for the loss. You are SO CLOSE to your goal.

LOL - what a great problem - returning the pants that are TOO BIG! How's my buddy Beau after his unexpected bath the other day?
|
Beau is fine after his fountain dip, though he did get his button kicked yesterday, lol. He loves to play in bags and has several in the living room area. My partner went downstairs in the early morning and kicked a bag out of the way. Beau had run downstairs first & hid in the bag, so both of them had a rude surprise!

LOL - ohh...our cats also do that game. One like to shimmy his way under the area carpet so we walk through the living room and there is this weird little lump in the carpet!
|
Too funny, HCB, don't you love it?

Yes - they are endless sources of amusement!

That was supposed to be his butt kicked, not button! My Kindle does weird stuff if I don't catch it.
