Here I go...started another diet. But I plan to stick to it this time! Don't want to pay for Weight Watchers again or go to meetings. Just want to learn to eat healthy and stay that way on my own. Trying South Beach this time. I think the healthy carbs that I can eat, like beans, may help a lot...Atkins was too restrictive. Praying that I can make it this time....

Well, you CAN make it this time...but don't' call it a diet..it is truly a lifestyle. It is something you CAN do and something you can do for the rest of your life. I love this plan. Keep posting here and also use your food diary, there are so many times it has helped a lot of people! And remember, only the first 14 days are the toughest. Best wishes and go get 'em!

I've done WW and Atkins and was successful with both. What I like most about this plan is that I am learning so much about healthy eating and how different foods affect cravings, your long term health, etc. I really feel this is my way of life from now on and not just a fad diet. At my age, I am much more interested in what's going to keep me healthy instead of just looking good. The benefit is that I will look much better too! Just make up your mind to do it and it will be a breeze. Also...don't be in a hurry. The pounds add up over the weeks. Hang around here and join in the fun and it will make it go by quickly.
