Now I once again have my sights on getting below 190. I have encouragement from all directions, including FS, which I appreciate so much. You guys make me accountable and want to do my best. I have the will and dedication, the tools to know what I'm doing, and I am clear on why I need to do this.
If there is any one thing that is helping me the most, I think it is that clarity of why. When I started this weight loss back in March, I wrote down specific reasons why I want to lose weight, and I was very honest about it. Most of it was for health reasons, some for vanity, and some just because I want to be more confident in both my personal and business life. This is different from goals, but I have those too. When I am feeling weak, I pull out those reasons, and remind myself that the reasons are still there, not going away. i have revised some of them as I have evolved, and I've added a few. It really helped look deep into myself, think about the kind of life I want to have, and then go for it!
Speaking of going for it, I'm off to ride out of town on a Harley with my new potential beau. An engineer who speaks Russian and has a Harley...interesting guy, and I hope an interesting day! I've never done this before, so hopefully I will be back later to report on it :-)
