something that i am paying attention to this time round is that size really is not what matters...it is the condition your body is in...since i broke my ankle i have not been able to work out the lower part of my body...so my stomach, chest and arms are right in line with the weight but the thighs and calfs still require a slightly larger size...i put on a pair of pants this morning that i have not worn in 2 summers (they are lighter weight)...and the waist is too big but the thighs fit nicely...lol...this is going to be interesting...waist is one size and the thighs another...any idea's on how to combat this??? thanks...

I am the complete opposite, my stomach is fuller and my legs and thighs are really thin. So I have to buy pants with just a little stretch to them. Then they fit through my thighs but give me more room through my midsection, but I guess that wouldn't help you, huh? But there are so many styles of jeans, maybe you could find some that are looser through the hips and thighs. Alot of pants come in tons of styles and it usually describes them on the tag. Probably will just take lots of trial and error.

I think once your back to your normal working out, everything will be fine. As I was loosing weight that happened a lot. I don't think my thighs lost any weight at all until I dropped OVER 20 pounds, but my waist shrunk several sizes. It will all work out in the end...or in the thighs or where ever! I'm so glad to see you journaling! Missed ya!

thanks for the insites...lol...found out yesterday that i will probably have to have surgery on the ankle as the outside 1/3 of the two sections still have not fused together...so it will be mid summer before i really get to put weight on the leg...so the weight loss will be slower and longer...but that means that it should stay off forever...lol

I'm sorry to hear about the ankle not healing properly. Glad to hear your great spirits! Keep up working at it and you'll figure a way around them pants! I know you will beat this!

Sorry to hear about your ankle. That definitely makes things a little harder. Hang in there!

I'm thinking about stretchie band workouts where maybe you can lie on your back or sit and exercise your lower half without putting stress you your ankle. Otherwise, they are offering a lot more wide legged trousers, so that might help. I'm built like Graciepoo--my waist is my problem area!

I lose in different places too, but I'm sure that frustrating with the pants. Maybe wear skirts a lot until you're "even"??
