I'm liking that this genuinely feels like a lifestyle, rather than a diet. Someone at work said to me today 'so are you off it now' - referring to my 'diet'. It's not that I ever spoke about it with anyone, more that they just noticed that I lost 37lbs in 3 months and I guess everyone assumed that I did some sort of miracle working fad 'diet' that has a start and a finish.

Anyway, the concept of 'going off it' was odd to me, as I don't really feel like I'm on a diet, per se, more like I'm just a much healthier human, who is much more conscious of what she eats, and how she treats her body.

I also think it's interesting that generally the automatic assumption from people is that I gave up carbs, when nothing could be farther from the truth! It's true that I gave up processed carbs, but I really gave up most processed things. Weird how the US diet market these days seems to have convinced everyone that high protein/low carb is the only way to go. I honestly didn't pay attention to the protein/carb/fat mix in my diet at all, I just focused on eating whole, nutritionally dense, plant based foods and figured it would all work itself out if I did that. Which it did.

Today is a great day. Happy Wednesday everyone (or Thursday, if you're in Asia Pac).
124.0 lb Lost so far: 37.5 lb.    Still to go: 2.0 lb.    Diet followed reasonably well.
