BuffyBear's Journal, 14 September 2012

Happy Friday! This will be short because very busy at work today.

Looking forward to Saturday - with the mornings being cooler now, I promised the pooch that I would take him to the park tomorrow. But he misunderstood and thought I meant today - and I had the hardest time getting ready for work with those sad brown eyes staring at me.

Today I am thankful that I live in a place, just a short drive from such beautiful parks.

Tracy - It was my fault. I forget he understands the word "park". He just has no concept of "tomorrow". Case of the dog being smarter than the owner.

Buffy our animal friends are much smarter than we give them credit... Hope you both enjoy your walks "tomorrow"...

Notfast - I am almost as excited as he is. This summer has been way too hot to plan much outside.

Dogs have no concept of time. Ever notice that you can leave them in the house for 15 minutes and come back to see an ecstatic dog... jumping crazy! Yep... like you were on a week long trip. HA! I love em! Happy you are feeling good about the park and your furbaby! Have a great Buff! HUGS!

LOL - our two Bengal cats are also very very smart. We swear one of them has a pocket watch because he knows EXACTLY when it is time to wake up or eat!

I just read the greatest book. It was written as if the dog was telling the story. It is called The Art Of Racing In The Rain. Have a good weekend Buffy.

Karen - that sounds like a fabulous book! Would also make a nice present for someone I know. Thanks!

Bren - Sometimes DH and I have to spell things when we talk. For example, phrases like "go for a ride" cannot be uttered in the dogs presence.

Glad you have a place close by to enjoy a pooch walk! I think my doggie-girl was hoping for another 4 day work week this morning...she was really bugging me to come out & play again After our run.
