I was pleased to see a couple more pounds come off. I was a little spoiled when I first started the diet and watched the pounds fall off effortlessly. Then the brakes came on and I got discouraged. But then I put it in perspective. I have well over one hundred pounds to lose. I'm in it for the long haul anyways...so why be in a hurry? Any movement in a positive direction is a battle won in a protracted war. So if only one pound comes off this week or in two weeks, that's one pound less than I weighed before. And I've spent the last sixteen years obese...so one or two years of commitment is nothing compared to that not to mention the feeling of accomplishment I'm getting along the way and especially when I reach my goal.
