Day 208- Ran about 5 miles this morning, longest run for me so far. I was able to maintain my pace all the way. I wish i could record my post running weight (176lbs) but, that is cheating in my eyes. It would just upset me when I got on the scale tomorrow.

I am heading off to the LRS this morning to get fitted for a new pair of running shoes, first time for the fitting so I wonder what they will say.... the wife is tagging along, she got up and ran yesterday on her own. She did 1/2 mile and then stopped. I keep trying to get her to walk a few miles every other day so she can build up to running like I did. I also recommend the C25K app for her and she seemed interested. I just keep hearing from her that she does not have enough time. Back to the, if you want it, you will work towards it deal.

I found yesterday that their is a NEW Whole Foods very close to the Trader Joe's I shop at. That will be nice to be able to get the items I can't find at TJ. I did see on a few everyday items their prces have come down, or maybe everyone else went up? Well I do know they have a great deal every week on Fridays, this week it is wild caught Salmon for $5.99lb, our freezer will be full.

Hope everyone has big plans for the weekend! I am relaxing this one and cracking a few beers tonight after soccer practice.

Well done on the weight loss - another bit off :-). So near your target now.... Well done on the run - with a little 'delicate' encouragement, I am sure your DW will improve

My hubby gets into running or doing the same workouts I'm doing for about a week or sporadically for a couple of weeks, but then quits because he says he's too busy or sore, or something. I can't really push him to do it, he has to do it on his own. For now he's actually watching what he eats more, which is a first, so at least that's something. Hopefully, your wife finds her motivation. Get some well deserved relaxing in tonight!

Maybe eventually your wife will feel more motivated. But like Mar says she's going to have to get there herself. Think about how it was for you in the beginning and how far you've come. Great job on the five miles!
