am definitely *feeling* much better than i was last week. i have been drinking broth, and watching my calories (while not as consistent as i'd like, they're around where they should be).
i haven't found a scale yet, so no ideas on that. spoke with my dad for a bit the other day, and he said to give it a good month. and so, i'm looking for changes by the end of the month. even something modest would do it for me. i am not expecting landslides... as nice as that would be, by body never seems to work that way.
i don't so much crave carbs. but sometimes i miss the idea of them. i bake, it's a hobby of mine, and so that part is hard for me. i know i will bake again, certainly, it's not part of my happiness that i will give up. and while usually i am baking for other people, it just seems like right now i'd be tempting myself unnecessarily with confections. so, no baking. not now.
what else, i think i am going to head to the beach for a week in july with my family and family friends. which is really exciting because i haven't been in years. but also, i really don't want to wear a bathing suit. and no one cares but me, i know - but there are cameras, and ugh. not to mention the other ladies there that are my age are gorgeous and totally rock bikinis... which just somehow makes me feel even more self-conscious. ah well, have a couple of months to figure it out.
have a great tuesday! ~ato
