Lifting Day
150 carbs planned

🍴 Yesterday I stuck to only drinking protein shakes. But, I drank 900 calories and 18 carbs (10 net carbs) of them! Not exactly a 'diet' day :) But, it did keep me from going on a 'carb fest' by not eating 'solid food'.

🏋🏿 Because I am lifting today, I am planning to eat more calories than I plan to expend and 10x the net carbs that I consumed yesterday. When I consume carbs it allows me to 'lift heavy'. Building muscle is my primary goal right now.

⏳ I am actually happy that my weight has gone up. I am getting really tired of eating so much! As soon as I hit 180lbs I plan to go back to my 5 day a week fasts until I get back down to 160lbs. Having the 'empty stomach feeling' is to feel at peace.

Sometimes reading your plan makes me dizzy! I could NEVER figure out how to do all those different things in such a specific order and stay sane! You, on the other hand, are doing amazing with it! Keep on going!!

@chrisw77 - I seriously considered using body % to control my 'bulking period', but came to the conclusion that for 'spiritual' reasons I need to use 'calendar time' (perhaps 2 weeks) for 'bulking'. Overconsumption for longer than that puts my mind in a 'more more more' place that works great, until it doesn't. I am simply not the 'master of the universe' and I simply do not have 'control' over my body.

@chesgreen - Actually the opposite buddy! In my journal today I said that on Monday I am 'tapping out' and returning to fasting. Bulking and lifting get great results, but I find that doing it for extended periods is 'Spiritually' damaging :(

@adefwebserver, my "taming the beast" comment was referring specifically to your consumption of the protein shakes to avoid a carb binge. I support what ever protocol one chooses to avoid binges as long as it doesn't harm self or others LOL.
