First food post ever. I just returned from a routine cardiologist appointment. My BP was 113/68, resting HR 46, and my HDL was 50, LDL 75. He told me my numbers were excellent. I said I was wondering since I've eaten two boiled eggs daily for four years, to which he replied I should reduce my intake. I say not bad for an old man. Here is a fairly typical lunch for me.

Wow! That's a great update. Your typical lunch looks good, but, uh, maybe a larger plate? 😉👍✔

they say the egg cholesterol isn't bad...something about something in the yolk counter acting? Google it! I'm surprised your doctor is still so old fashioned.

Sharon, he is a young doctor, and highly sought after, people travel long distances to be under his care. I'd say he's late 30s, early 40s. He gave an in depth reason to reduce the intake, but I couldn't remember, but was impressed with his knowledge. I likely won't yield his advice, but do trust him over googled research.

I'm doing two eggs a day as well, may have to think about that. Good to hear from someone who has an accomplished doctor.

re: eggs - if your numbers are good, why change a winning formula? I also believe eggs are excellent for your health. I have good numbers also and have been having eggs daily for years!

Your numbers are wonderful. Why fix something that isn't broken. Eggs are not a problem. Keep up the good work.
