Itry58's Journal, 13 August 2018

I had given up. Got that attitude I'm old, not out to impress anyone, so why not do one of the things I enjoy...EATING. So now I feel guilty and going to start trying to lose again. I pray that God will lead me into making good choices. I've got to get my losing attitude back. One thing I like about this site is that I can say what I feel.

I thought the same thing you just said many times. I think it is a good idea to just keep making those good choices because your health is top priority.. It's tough , we can do this!

I am getting old too. But I want to be as healthy as I can be. I have slowly and steadily been losing weight. I want to be able to do some fun things and not sit in a chair in front of tv, and snack. I like to travel s ome, do bus trips, go gambling, visit my kids. And be as healthy as possible. So let's not give up.

The only person I need to impress is me. At 63 it's all about improving my quality of life and staying active and involved as well as, most importantly, being healthy. You can do this too.

You can do this. I also am a senior who decided to take my health seriously. I had a rude awakening (read my bio) I'm so thrilled that now I can do, and have done, so much more than when the weight was on. Try to keep a positive attitude and put yourself and your health first!💗

I thank all of you for your encouragement. I lost 67 lbs. to help with knee surgery recovery then I just kind of gave up. I was actually thinking about a snack (veggie straws, I try to tell myself it's a healthy snack) when I happened to see your comment. Not going to do it and thank you again.

We all get old and some of get lonely. We have to remember our health is about us and no one else. You have to care for yourself first. It seems to be a cultural thing where we often put our own health above others and often neglect ourselves. That just causes a spiral of nothing good. You are never too old to begin to care about you! You are amazing and deserve the best in all.
