HCB's Journal, 13 August 2012

Exercise was a little different this morning. I tried an alternate DVD I own and barely got my heart rate up - so switched to Jillian Michaels and within 10 minutes I was panting and sweating - as usual! Like her or hate her; she is effective!

Today I feel grateful for everything listed on prior days, plus:

-the shining sun
-a cool breeze
-a good cup of coffee
-a hot shower
-and a day full of promise

Morning! My goal is similar to yours (numbers wise). I'm impressed with how well you are losing. Do you remember what your RDI was when you first started at 243? That is the exact weight I started at in June. I am now at 226 and using an RDI of 1700.

My RDI has stayed the same throughout this whole time - 1200. I have played around with % proteins, % net crabs, and different foods to see what best worked for me. And, of course, exercise 6 days a week an drinking at least a gallon of water daily.

Wow that is awesome. I need to keep my cholesterol under 100 grams (I think) because I'm trying to get off that medication. One more thing. Will you please give me the title of J. Michael's circuit training DVD? Thanks for your help!!! Aren't you hungry at 1200???

Love your list this morning! May I adopt it too? Thank you so much for lifting us up. Are we heavy? Do we weigh you down? No? Great. The ease with which you lift us up stems from your strength! What to say about Jillian's bad butt facade. She acts like such a bad a$# but we knoe she cares - right? The daily gallon of water has got to be an important "fat secret." Thanks for the reminder about the importance of hydration! Love ya!

Mmmm.. a good cup of coffee... love that, too! Yes, not all exercise dvd's are created equal. I did the Turbo Jam series years ago and found some of those to be pretty good but I doubt they would do much for my heart rate now. It's all relative to where you are in your own personal journey!

Sounds like Jillian is really working for you! And I also LOVE coffee. For some reason, my favorite convenience store makes it so much better than I make it at home - it's 1.71 for a large, better than Starbucks, I guess.
