Well I thought that I did poorly on the diet this weekend but I guess I didn't do as badly as I had thought. I lost a little bit of weight even though I'm not sure how. I had a couple of cocktails with my girlfriends, BBQ on Saturday afternoon, and even went to brunch with my boyfriend this morning. I did actually do pretty well at the BBQ place. I got lean brisket and turkey for my meats then some coleslaw and broccoli salad for my sides. I even made myself a little green salad with the romaine and onions and a little bit of italian dressing. I only used a tiny bit of the BBQ sauce because you know that's just loaded with sugar n stuff. I would dip my fork into the BBQ sauce and then pick up a piece of brisket or turkey. Still get the flavor without using as much. So, I was doing pretty good. Then the bread girl comes by and I just have no resistance to those warm fresh baked rolls so I took one. I only ate about half of it though. Then we got a bit of the delicious peach cobbler with a dab of vanilla ice cream on it. I only took a very small bit of the cobbler and ice cream even though it is my absolute favorite. So overall, I did pretty good at the BBQ place... aside from the peach cobbler and the half a dinner roll I was sticking to the diet. I didn't feel sick either. I love BBQ but it seems like every time I go for BBQ I end up feeling sick a little while after I eat it. This time, I felt fine. So, then this morning my boyfriend says, let's go to brunch. Now, we usually go to this really awesome place up the street called Tierney's for brunch but he wanted to try something different. I had remembered this place in the Denton Square having brunch one time when I was with one of my friends but we went to have lunch at a pub instead. So, I looked up the name, it was the Abby Inn. Their brunch menu looked really good too. So, we went. It was so good! I mean top notch. I had the Abby Inn Eggs which was their take on Eggs Benedict, my favorite breakfast food. It was ok. I wouldn't say it was as good as it sounded. They put smoked cooked salmon on an english muffin, topped it with a poached egg and then topped with a little bit of this dill cream sauce. I only ate half of the english muffin and scraped the salmon / egg off of the other one. I didn't really want all that bread. I also substituted the rosemary potatoes with a green salad. The salad was actually better than the eggs to me and eggs benedict is usually my favorite. We also ordered the scotch eggs. Those were almost like dessert. It's a hard boiled egg rolled in handmade sausage then a light coating of bread crumbs then they are deep fried. The dessert part comes in here... this place drizzles them with this raspberry sauce. It sounds a little strange I know but have you ever put syrup on your sausage patties? That's kinda what it's like. They were really good. My boyfriend got the corned beef hash which I had to taste and it was good. He also got a side of fries with beer cheese for dipping. I wasn't a fan of the beer cheese. You see, ever since I have been on this diet, I've noticed that foods taste different. Some foods are still yummy to me but other things that I used to love are just ok. It's like my body doesn't really care for them anymore. And when I eat stuff that is way far removed from this diet like greasy potatoes or a bunch of bread or pasta... I get really sick feeling. Then I spend the next day and a half feeling all run down and crappy. When I eat well, I feel well. When I eat crap, I feel like crap... Who knew it was that simple. It really is though.

Ok, that was like food porn :) I *love* scotch eggs, but I only get them maybe once a year, if I go to a restaurant/whiskey bar at Christmas time with friends form out of town. Most everything else you mentioned sounded yummy too, although I've never cared for salmon. And even though you broke training a bit, you kept to small portions of the 'bad' things, so good job!
