Back from a five-day stay in the hospital yesterday. This weigh-in is on my own scale. I was short of breath last Thursday, went in for a chest x-ray, found a pleural effusion. So they gave me a bunch of diuretics and did a thoracentesis and now I’m down 10 or 15 pounds of water and I’m not sure if we’ve got me to a dry weight yet. I have to say it’s a rather disappointing way to meet my hundred pound weight loss goal. My mom bought me a bunch of pants and skirts at J Jill in medium and they are all too big. I wish I could feel happy about this but I just feel like I’m melting away. I guess that’s what cancer and heart surgery will do for you.
