Well this was a nice surprise, to break the 20 lb mark from Wed to now. I have to admit that the best thing is that the pain has decreased in my back and legs. I feel younger. I really don't see the loss, although the clothes are looser, but it doesn't matter. I know it will take another 20 at least for the loss to show. I was looking at my weight loss history on the different diets. My high weight was 14 lbs more than my starting weight this time. My low weight was 20 lbs less. So in 20 lbs I will have broken my 20 year history. HOWEVER, my normal weight when not actively on a strict diet is around 159, or was in my 20's 30's and 40's. I actually look very thin at that weight. I will never forget when I joined WW for the first time at THAT weight, which is what I was two years after giving birth, I looked thinner than most people at the meeting, and after ten lbs they asked me to work for them. When I got to my goal weight, family and friends told me I looked emaciated. I actually did, although it was nice to be skinny. So the mid to late 140's would be a lovely goal. However, I am now 70. I am not sure I can go that low without my skin sagging. I am going to use my own judgment and not get crazy about the number on the scale. I am muscular, despite not really exercising. When I would stand next to someone of the same weight, they always looked a lot heavier . It only is bad when you go to the doc's office and he uses a chart. My endocrinologist does not. He is only interested in my health and getting excess weight off to keep healthy.
Good health and less stress on the joints should always be the first priority for weight loss.
