Broke my own number one rule last night and ate a skinny cow ice cream sandwhich (Oh my GOSH YUUMMM!!) at 9pm. I was so exhausted from 3 hours of gardening and spreading mulch that I was starved. I figured this would sabotage any chance I had for weight loss this week, but zap! Coupled with a double workout of gardening and 10,000 steps and this morning's Wii active. LOSS!!

Mabye that woman was right (I forget her name, how crude) that my sore muscles were retaining water to heal.

Either way YEAH, buddy!

Greeat job on the loss! I have just tried the Skinny Cow IC sandwiches too. I had the mint ones... VERY good and not bad on the calorie intake either. I feel it is important to still have stuff like that... otherwise it becomes too hard ot stick to the diet plan. I have also increased my water intake 1000% and my muscles hurt less and I do not retain so much water either. Has multiple effects. Keep up the good fight!

I'm sure it was your muscles retaining the water to heal. (That was me by the way. :)) Every time I work out really hard, I weigh more the next morning. Then the following day I see the loss. If you are going to weigh yourself daily, this is what you should expect to see. You are doing great by the way! Don't be so hard on yourself about a late night snack. As long as you are keeping it within your calorie limit, there is no shame in it! Your body needs some food after a workout anyway. Many of us eat a late night snack. It doesn't cause a problem unless you get into the habit of eating the high carb, high fat foods in front of the TV at night when you really aren't hungry. Keep up the good work!!

Thanks, tglenna. I couldn't remember where I heard that, but you're exactly right. I would never have thought of it, but it seems to be working out exactly the way you've described. Maybe I'm overdoing it? (But I just....can't...stop...gardening!!) I've always heard that eating after 7 pm is as much a no-no as not eating breakfast (though look at how that conviction has bit me in the backside on today's forum!!). I've been working so hard to do all the "right" things that I think fatkid79 is right, I don't reward myself enough and it could make it easy to fall off the wagon. Thanks for the support, ya'll.

Ooo but you'll have so much more control than I do. If I had Skinny Cows sitting in my freezer, I would eat one every night until they were gone. My willpower for sweet stuff just sucks! Nice job on the loss!
