I been having a lot of trouble getting back on track, I can't follow a diet, I'm anxious all the time, I can't sleep and exorcising seems to be the most difficult thing in the world... I've lost all motivation, I look back to when I was 162 and I miss the confidence I had back then. I found an app that "personalizes" a 60 day keto diet plan for $30 🤷‍♀️🤷‍♀️🤷‍♀️ I've seen amazing results
of people following that diet in here, but I'm not sure if the app will be a good tool because honestly I dont know exactly what the keto diet consists on. Any advice of how can I go back on track?? I'm desperated, I hate the person I look at the mirror every day....

You have lost a decent amount so far! Give yourself some credit. I reached my goal following a keto type high fat low carb diet...I didn’t use a specific keto app but tracked my macros here in FS. You just need to find what works for you. I averaged 1350-1500 cals a day and my macro goals were 20g total carbs, 50-60g protein and 140+g fats. I rarely met those goals exactly but that was my aim. Do a bit of online research then experiment and see what works for you. Good luck!

My first advice would be to learn to at least like that person in the mirror. She deserves love. I skimmed a couple of your posts and just because you work a lot doesn’t mean you are a bad mom. Does your daughter have a decent home, warmth in the winter and cool in the summer, food in her belly and a deep knowledge that her mom loves her? Do you spend time with her to let her know that you love her? Break ups ARE hard but try not to let that derail you. As for the rest... start slowly. Ask your dr his opinion based on your health issues. If he’s ok with you trying whatever you want then if it were me I would try to identify some foods that did not work well for me or led to cravings and over eating. I’d banish these from my diet until I had more control over them. For me personally meat and bread fill me up the most and keep me full longest. I now have trouble eating as much meat as I used to and I do have issues with enjoying carbs so much that I do over eat them occasionally. I find raw veggies are a good snack for me as I can cut them up and bag them in 100g servings and snack on one bag per day when I need to snack. I need to do that again but my kids keep cleaning out my veggie stash lol. Take some time to re-evaluate your goals and find some love for yourself. It’s a priority! Figure out how to see that it IS hard but YOU ARE WORTH IT. And the gym.. I love and hate the gym equally lol. I feel like crap doing cardio and realize just how weak I’ve become during weight training. I keep going because I LOVE the energy I now have when I leave the gym. It took me a couple weeks though.

Oh and start slow on working out if you aren’t used to it. I jumped right in walking a few miles and doing way more than I should and ended up being sore for about 2 weeks straight. I slowed down and have build back up and surpassed where I was and find I’m not sore as much and don’t have the ‘but I don’t want to exercise’ feelings as much any more. Best of luck to you! You can do this ;).!

I used all the info at DietDoctor.com to learn LCHF/keto: food lists, menus, meal plans, guidelines and instruction. Most of it is available for free. If you sign up, you can do 30 days for free and then cancel your membership. Setting a calendar "reminder to cancel" on Day 28 gives you all the free access you should need to get started.

Ditto, peeperjj. I'm one of those who tried everything under the sun, and what I'm doing now is what I'll do for the rest of my life, because it is what works for me. Know yourself, your triggers, how your body reacts to stuff, and keep what works for you. Hang in there!

It is also about your mindset. You can do this but it does require accepting where you are and the work you are going to do to get where you want to be. You can do this! Wishing you success!

When I found myself unable to follow my current diet plan, I kept trying new ones. I finally found one that worked for me.

I recommend Weight Watchers because it teaches a sustainable way to eat. Losing weight is about expending more calories than you take in. The popularity of keto diets puzzles me. The body can’t be “tricked.” The brain uses only glucose as its energy source. Muscle prefers glucose but will use fat easily. If an extremely low carb diet is eaten, the body simply converts protein and fats to make the glucose it needs and wants. Why not just eat carbs? If you have food “triggers,” address that. It is not that any food is good or bad, it is that our relationship with it is unhealthy. For myself, my weakness is salty foods so I don’t keep things like potato chips in the house. With WW’s, you are never alone in your journey. An especially important part is the emphasis on self love and self care. I am not an employee of WW’s and have no unholy reason to champion it.
