Day 198- So I am out of the 180’s I dropped to 179.5 yesterday. This also means my BMI is below ‘obese’ and I am now just ‘over weight’.

For some reason I have dropped quickly after my extended stay away. Maybe it was the break in my workout and running plan? I have been back on my running plan the past 2 weeks. I have been slacking on my workouts. I got a good one in tonight, but I have noticed my upper body has lost it’s form and I feel weak. Another thing that has changed as I have lost the last 10lbs is I have developed a flabby skin belly. I thought I would get away without extra skin, I was not that big(?). Most of the fat, fat, is in my belly and chest. This has got to go soon, I don’t know where else I am losing? My legs are getting pretty tone and my face is thin. I still have a long way to go.

I am getting close to my second goal of 175lbs, I need to start thinking of the next goal. I hope to be at 175 in the next 3 weeks or by the end of August.

Next entry will be about my diet, as in the food I eat, not the losing of weight. I have been reading a lot and listening to a lot of podcasts that have me thinking…..

Great work, buddy! BMI is important to doctors but it doesn't take into account the composition of the weight - is it lean muscle mass or adipose fat? I also will be "overweight" according to BMI once I hit my current goal weight. I would have to lose almost 30 pounds beyond it to be "normal" - humpf

Good for you!! I don't know what you're doing besides running, but maybe some ab work and push-ups or weights can help tone up your chest and belly. I'm sure those things will get better with time. Keep up the good work!

Congratulations! Sometimes it is difficult to determine why we do, or do not, lose weight. But you sure must be doing something right!
