There's bit of heat going on. My 'nurse' is convinced that my weight loss is why I got fever. Under my current weakness she want to fatten me up. My argument, 'can you show me the study' doesn't stick.

Her mind is in top speed findind dishes to feed me. Whatever I say in my defence go to deaf ears. Didn't expect this kind of conflic to occur. It will pass, soon hopefully.

What do you think? Why the fever? from my understanding a fever is a normal defense to fight any pathogens that entered into the body. Also I have heard starving the fever helps, meaning irritated guts induce a higher fever, so could it be contrary and cause a fever? interesting. Anyways best not to eat from my own understanding.

also I wouldn't treat that fever, unless it spikes 105 plus, fevers are really good for fighting whatever it is that shouldn't be there! Hope you feel well soon.

eat_les I agree 100% with you. These low education arguments going on is taxing, as they get repeated probably 200 times per day. I want the body to do it's thing. Got fed up, and find myself unable to do natural healing, so I started the antibiotics this morning. Hate it.

No worries you will bounce back, make sure to replenish your gut flora after those antibiotics the wreck havoc on our guts good bacteria! I totally agree natural remedies and holistic approach is best, but every once in a while we need a modern medicine to help until we figure out the best natural approach. It's sad really because holistic medicine and practices are looked at as taboo or unreliable but that is how the Pharmaceutical industry wants us to blindly believe. You may want to invest some time with a naturopath to get you on the right path. I also recommend seeing a herbalist. Also look in blackseed oil whatever ails you can be cured naturally. Wish you good health & longevity.

weight loss causing fever? Haven’t heard of that unless it’s a medical condition that is the underlying cause. With Exercise, it can suppress immune function, but won’t do anything problematic relating to building muscle/endurance/cardiovascular health etc. so my assumption would be that you may have just gotten sick from over exertion. Unless it’s a specific reason why the fever happened it could be related to anything, but fat loss doesn’t cause fevers, it improves health, so in my opinion, doesn’t seem like that is the likely cause. So unless you were doing something very extreme that may have had some type inadvertent health consequence that lead to the fever, weight loss shouldn’t have done anything harmful, unless you lacked severity in nutrients, vitamins, etc. if you’ve lost weight before without problems, then there’s probably another reason behind the fever. Just my own input here.

Wt loss does not cause fever. Infection causes fever. What kind of an infection are you being treated for.

Back in the day people DIED from infections, and of course they still do. More women died from childbirth related infections . We are now on 3rd and 4th generation antibiotic because of bacteria mutation. We noe have several bacterial infections for which ther is no known effective antibiotic for. You have to be smart.

The fever come from small intestine blockage, in relation to my hernia. My intestine is currently inflamed. I've unblocked the intestines, ran a charcoal wash, and are now on antibiotics. I've tried to explain this to her about 30 times, but it doesn't stick. Funny how approaching healthy weight create this sort of panic. I've heard about it, and now get it first hand.

Et_les— you are not accurate on almost any level here but especially about not treating a fever till it is 105. That is seizure and brain damage territory. At that level you are MAJORLY SICK

Charcoal wash? For intestinal blockage? Hmm

Sounds like you may have a touch of diverticulosis or colitis, maybe both ... congee heals all intestinal issues, give it a try ... low cal and soothing. I hope you’re on the mend soon and take it easy ... fever in a child is good and builds up the immune system, fever in adults is not, your lymphocytic system has been compromised.

Kenna. The charcoal was used after I first unblocked the intestines with massage. Not as an unblocking agent.

Deeply appreciate your support guys. The conflict has calmed down. In her defence, I probably did not look to good while riding the fever rollercoaster. Felt I was winning though, as the fever highs reduced significantly.

Is this a therapy recommended by your doctor? Where is this coming from? The reason I ask is that in my experience use of charcoal is contraindicated in anyone with a history of bowel obstruction because it can aggregate at the site causing complete obstruction..

I'd look into getting that hernia or hernias repairs they are painful and only get worse. p.s. l know from having 4 of them.

Kenna. My respect for MD's is low, and limit the use of them for infections and cuts. Probably a good advice you're giving though.
