Normally I'd be happy about this, but the lack of stamina I have is poisoning my life. I've started eating bread, and more fruits than usual, and sugar in my coffee. Could there be too much sugar coursing through my veins?

I've come across this Diatocemous earth - food grade, which has a lot positive testimony for its health benefits. (on Amazon) Will be trying that next week.

Very odd, I find a lot of contrarian woe have positive testimony. How can that be? The only one that does not have such positive testimony is the normal, eat a bit of everything woe. Could it be that benefits come from food combinations more than anything else?

I know I seem to be on the right path for weight loss, but I want more. I want optimum health and energy!

I'm open to suggestions! (Have started a bit of exercising..)
166.8 lb Lost so far: 12.2 lb.    Still to go: 27.8 lb.    Diet followed reasonably well.
losing 2.5 lb a week

I don't see anything logged so it is hard to suggest much, but if you are tired and have a lack of stamina your macros may be off. Learning to eat healthy and just reducing portion size is a good way to go. but I would suggest you go online and find a good macro calculator to find many calories you generally burn a day without exercise and then get your required protein level. generally two things can make you feel dragged out, not enough protein and not enough calories to support your body. I have some of that earth food grade, picked it up as I had an allergic response to a bug bite. I don't see the benefit to taking it just as a supplement. I used it for helping to absorb toxins. If you are looking for suppliments, I would stick to a well rounded vitamin. some people also benefit from b complex and calcium.

Thank you both, I'll look into the macro counter. @Baskington - I saw that you recommended a counter in a post. I'll retrieve it.

I stopped taking sugar in my tea (used to have 3) now i sleep for 8hours uninterrupted and im very rarely tired through the day. I don't think sugar is the answer but im just speculating about my own diet

When I started to lose weight, I put 2 yellow stickies on my PC. Both are still there even though I reached my goal weight last year. One is nutrition targets: Carb = 169-244, Fiber 21, Protein 37-131, and Fat 50. If you look at my food diary from last year, I rarely ever got near the amount of carbs I was going to allow. I also consumed a lot more fiber than I had planned with many days at 30 or 40+. I tried not to obsess in my planning as long as I was in the ballpark. I avoided most white sugar and didn't eat much red meat (only because of the calories.) I tried to eat 1200 calories a day, but with all the fiber, I often found it easy to eat around 1150 or so. I also recorded everything I ate daily. Some days, I filled out my food diary as a guide and checked each item off after each meal and snack. If I became hungry, I could look at the guide for the day and know I had a snack or meal planned in an hour or two. The other sticky has the BMI ranges for a 5'4" woman. I celebrated when I hit the 'healthy' range at 145 lbs. but when my body kept losing, I thought I'd see where I ended up. Again, I didn't consider my plan a diet, it was something I knew I would have to follow forever. So weird... I kept losing. I had been 136 lbs. in 8th grade (the lowest weight I can ever remember) but I dropped below 136 and kept going. Finally, I slowed down around 125 (my final goal weight) and now I'm hanging around 121 - 123 which gives me some buffer under my goal. What worked for me was reasonable variety of healthy foods including a little of everything. However, I ate and still eat a lot of grilled chicken with different marinades for variety. I learned that I can use half or less of the oil in most recipes and it stills tastes great. I also have learned to use a lot of different seasonings. The last part was mental. While I have never been able to picture myself as a 'thin' person, I tried to pretend I was a healthy person in that I ate well and exercised. Somehow that changed my mindset and the weight consistently came off. It took a long time, but I did not set a particular time frame for my loss. I just chugged along and stuck with it. Hang in there. If I can do it, I know that you can!

Don’t eat diatomaceous earth! Not unless you have worms or something. It’s a desiccant and will dry you out faster than fast! For less calorie consumption check this out: https://nutritionfacts.org/video/do-chia-seeds-help-with-belly-fat/ There’s a video on vingegar too, how it keeps from overdoing simple carbs if you’re eating them anyway (vinegar should be diluted before drinking but I think they mention that in the video as well)

@Jessig7 - you're scaring me!!! No, I don't have worms (that I know of), it's just that I heard such good and various testimonies about it on Amazon regarding hair growth, and metabolic recharge. I'll heed your warning. The word dessicant has sounded warning bells. Have you experienced this product?

Hi! Sorry, didn't mean to scare you. Food grade DE is technically safe for ingestion by people or animals (though likely shouldn't be used long term, there ARE NOT studies on this-especially using human subjects). https://www.healthline.com/nutrition/what-is-diatomaceous-earth#section4 I have experience with this product as a holistic flee treatment and insecticide for animals (food grade, so the animals can eat it). As a desiccant, it works by cutting small insects, and leading them to dehydration. You probably know by now that DE is fossilized silica. Why it might seem to work for weight loss: 1) it's heavy...its fossils, it basically as dense as dirt 2) as a desiccant it may cause you to lose water weight. My biggest concerns with eating this product: 1) no nutritional value (we are not evolved to eat fossils, there will be better nutritional value in any other food) if you want something weighty, eat SWEET POTATOES but don't cook them in oil/butter to keep caloric content low 2) loss of water! water is vital to all your cells and organs working well. Water weight is negligible and waist line is a better indicator of health over all. Water loss is not a health gain. 3) LACK OF STUDIES: because I know how it works on insects is why I would not recommend it to anyone with GI issues (other than getting rid of a parasite-then go for it). Its SHARP and indiscriminately scratches cells. Studies (not in humans) show that it can kill viruses/bacteria etc. but if that is the case, likely it will kill GOOD gut bacteria as well. I cannot imagine that prolonged use of this product would not wreck your intestinal lining especially as you become more and more dehydrated (increased potency/sharpness with less water available). I think i could go on...but this is probably enough. let me know if there's anything else I can clear up. Be careful about "weight loss" miracles-so much of this is just advertising.
