244.7. I can't believe I'm finally under the ever distant 245. I really have no one to blame but myself. My dieting during the summer was not good. I'm really surprised that I managed to 'weight hover'. I really expected to see gains across the board, but every time I stepped on the scale it was always within a pound or two of 247. It's so funny. I've had mini plateaus in every ten pound range. 264. 252. 247.

On an upside, I'm back in the swing of things. I have a doctor's appointment (time for my yearly) in October, and I want to do the very best I can. I'm making it my "date" goal. My next number goal (243.9 - less than 50 lbs to go) is only 0.8 lbs away! Awesome!

My doctor's appointment in October is going to be a real turning point for me, I think. One of the reasons I jumped on the weight loss band wagon is that I want to have a baby. Desperately. My husband and I have been trying to get pregnant since I had a miscarriage in February of '11. In February of this year, we had scheduled an appointment with a fertility specialist to start figuring out what was wrong, but then my husband lost his job... and we couldn't do it anymore. His new job is at lower pay, so its taken a while to figure out exactly how we can afford it. Finally, we're ready again.

I don't want the doctor to tell me in October that the only reason I haven't gotten pregnant is because of my weight. It needs to be a non-issue. I realize I will still be overweight, but hopefully I can get rid of as much as possible before then.

Here's to being determined to not give up the fight!
