Katsolo's Journal, 02 July 2018

Went off book this weekend, but not what you think. Decided on a super low carb most of Saturday, and back on program yesterday. One thing I noticed looking back is that I neglected to get in all my veggies. I have a good plan for the Fourth, chicken boobs, anyone? The big "cheat" there is going to be watermelon. Which will spike my carbs but is infinitely better than cake or many, many other things I could put in my mouth. Have a couple of friends coming over to cook out and then we will head over to the park to watch the fireworks. If it gets complicated, we'll just go up on the roof. Next two days are going to be brutal, but it will all work out!

Before I forget, because a good chunk of this journaling is for me to remember things, too. I set a new personal record swimming on Saturday, it shows as 1000 yards, my way of counting was 2000 single strokes. No matter how I look at it, my endurance and distance are improving and that's good. Took a brisk walk with the pups every day since Wednesday, too. Sometimes, that's more of a time challenge than anything else. Teach your kids, "Don't pet without asking first." My guys are good with kids, not everyone's are.
