I miss crunch more than sweet or starchy. what does everyone eat that's not sweet or full of carbs that still satisfies the missing crunchy factor? Please don't say celery or carrots. Been there, done that, over them!

My go to is pork rinds. 😜. Pork rinds with salsa. Pork rinds with onion dip. Oh yeah! Also whisps. Made from cheese..found them at Walmart by the deli. I like the cheddar ones but they’re all good. Super crunchy. Great in salads as well

I like almonds or cashews. 160-170 per ounce and fatty so won’t work on diets that severely limit fat. I do my best 1-2 times a week to allow the calories for 2oz at a time. 1 leaves me wanting and 2 takes the edge of hunger off. 340kcal is high cal for one of my snacks though so I have to cut a lot lol.

Bacon and pork rinds match my taste buds. Thin sliced cucumber helped me get over a potato chip addiction.

Pomegranate is a great, fresh and crunchy addition to eat with sweet or savoury dishes. It's full of antioxidants, with a moderate to low GI and one of the few fruits, along with berries, allowed in a Keto or very low carb diet. They taste wonderfully and bring great texture to a salad.

Fried cheese. It’s kinda like eating chips..it’s just melted cheese and it hardens.. it’s so good!!

Chicharrones, yes! Almonds, pecans, pistachios also good, Bacon, definitely. Pickles have a great crunch factor, and chunky peanut butter.

Funny story about snacks and cravings. I love snacks, yes I do. I stopped eating meat and chicken almost 5 months ago. Not vegan, not vegetarian. Like yesterday I picked out sausage pieces from salt fish my coworker offered me. Just eliminated meat and poultry, still eat seafood. I was running errands etc on Saturday and the usual snacks chips, cookies and ice cream kept screaming my name lol. So I remembered chicharrones are practically no carb. Found a small bag with reasonable calories that would cure my craving and I wasn’t going to log into FS. Living on the edge here 😂. Moved on to other errands and left grocery shopping last, bad idea. Now I’m just starving. Noticed I’m low in protein for the day. At the self check out Oreos, Godiva and Doritos are calling my name. Instead I picked up a small bag of beef jerky and was satisfied my choice and not starving. Logged it into FS. Went on about my day and it wasn’t until yesterday it dawned on me I beef jerky is well, uum, beef 😂 Oh well “beef happens”. From now on I’ll stick my usual pistachios and almonds 😁

There's a few places around where I live that make fresh chicharrones con carne, pick up a little guacamole to dip them in, yeah, my wife's gone in the car but when she gets home Ima have to go get some.

@phil ok now the sound of chicharrones the way you just explained makes me want to eat meat again. 😂

I second the cheese suggestion. I put about a 1/4 c of cheddar in a small pan on the stove top over medium heat. Maybe 5 minutes? The biggest thing I noticed is the amount of fat that gets rendered out. It will start to turn brown and will be very floppy until it cools, but then you can break it into chips

I eat raw broccoli and cauliflower florets dipped in fat free ranch dressing mixed with frank's hot sauce - tastes like I'm eating crunchy chicken wings!!

Meat's all good. Fruit, I can do without. Most fruit, anyway. Frooty fruit, not avocado fruit or tomato fruit, sugary fruit, not that it's all bad. What was I saying, what was my point?! Chicharrones are the bomb
