No movement but I don't care. Instead of drinking I went to the gym last night. When I drove there I was stressed and pissed off. As I drove home; it was cold outside and the sun had just gone down. I felt such peace for my soul. I'm having a hard time with this no drinking and have not realized how much it consumed my life. Did I have a problem ? Idk but I'm doing good now without it.

Wine is my downfall, but I do count the carbs..I admit I usually have 2 small glasses a nite. We went out for happy hour yesterday and I had 6 shrimp in garlic butter, no breading and I felt like I had eaten best meal ever..Today down 23 lbs since march 20.

I'm glad you're finding something that's working for you. I have a glass of wine on Friday nights now. Any more than that and I don't like the way I feel afterward. I'd also rather save the calories for more food, LOL! Still, there's something about sitting outside on the patio enjoying the garden and the hummingbirds with a glass of wine that's just not the same with a V8, LOL!

I do t drink alcohol but I have discovered Coors non-alcoholic beer. Really good. I was surprised.

Speaking of alcohol.....what about Vodka. I read the label at a party and it said 0 carbs but I didn't drink any because that sounded way too good to be true???

And....Om not a big drinker. 2 beers and I have to go to bed....

@Kmburgher alcohol (gin vodka, rum) doesn't have carbs but it's higher in calories than fats. And gets metabolized before anything else, so it's not recommended for dieters. Not that I pay much attention to that. I'll have a drink now and then if the mood strikes me. I just make sure I'm still under my calorie limit.

If you're having a slight problem "not" drinking...you probably had a slight problem "with" drinking. We never know "how much" something has it's hooks in us, until we give it up for a few days or so. So long as your putting that energy somewhere more healthy and rewarding, you will be able to "shake" those cravings for a drink in due time...the key is to keep doing what you are doing. Best wishes!

G_, you are an artist. My definition of an artist is "someone who can make someone else feel as though the artist feels the same as them". This is why melancholic music strikes me if I am having a bad day and 70s rock if I am in the mood for a party. It seems you and I face the same decision after a day's work. Many thanks FADY7777

@SoCalPam I so relate... I love sitting in my back yard and observing the birds and deer, and here it is beautiful - sunshine and 68°. There is always a glass of wine and a cig involved, and I want to change that!! I am planning a new regimen that includes walking and excludes cigs... The birds and deer are just as wonderful without the detriments 😍
