Obstacles are placed in our way to see if what we want is really worth fighting for...

Happy Thursday my lovely people!!! I hope that you are all kicking butt today!! I am so excited for this weekend, nothing is happening, but I cannot wait for Friday 4pm!!

So my boss brought donuts today, they are sitting at the coffee pot which is like 3 feet from my desk. I weighed this morning and was up a few lbs since my last weigh in, and I am thinking "Well, Ive already screwed the pooch, might as well have a donut" I am fighting that internal battle right now. I will win, I know this, but at the same time, I sort of dont want to. Ive already had my coffee with coconut oil and heavy cream. I whipped the cream to peaks this morning, gave it a more cappuccino feel. It was nice.

I am not hungry, I do not need the donut, its more of a whisper of the person I was 6 months ago. The girl who rewarded herself just by waking up in the morning with treats that are horrible for her! My reward will be 1 more pound gone, one more smaller size. My reward is one more year of being alive. Not a donut, not today.

So my summer is booked up, I am going out of town next weekend, then in July we are going to Branson and then I have to go stay at my moms house for a weekend, now my sister is wanting to go camping in August and my brother wants to go to Tulsa one weekend. I am going to be exhausted!! It will be a blast, but tiring. I am hoping that I can keep up with it all. I wanted to join a local Karaoke contest, but I dont know when I will be able to squeeze in the qualifying rounds!!

Today I will thank God for all the success and blessings that He has given to me. I will praise him for a new day, a new me and the adventure of life. I will pray for continued successes and victories for all of us. I pray peace, patience and understanding that some journeys take longer than we want, but with perseverance and trust, we will arrive better than before. I give all praise and thanks, in Jesus name, Amen!!

Keep pushing forward, keep grinding in, keep going. Remember, even if you can only take one step, its one step closer than you were yesterday!! Forgive yourself and others, often. Be good to each other!!

What a great summer plan to look forward to! You’ve got this, one minute at a time! The struggle is real but with faith we’ll all get through our lows of wanting that donut and one day we will all be glad we held strong. Happy Thursday pretty lady! 😘

super resist on the donut (or as I like to refer to them as DONOTS). We use to always have a box of fresh ones at least once a week here at work when my dad was alive. Plus my mom use to make fresh fried do-NOTS. So i've had my full but really don't care for them anymore. Sounds like your summer will be busy! I'm looking forward to just a quiet chill time with my kids in & out. But still have to work so I won't get much time off. take care !

Just because you’re weight goes up, doesn’t at all, mean you’ve “screwed” up anything. You can easily gain “weight” which is NOT body fat at all, & STILL have lost weight prior to the weigh in and/or after. So don’t let those little fluctuations mess with your thinking. 👍🏻

Good job resisting the donuts! They taste so good but give me a horrible headache...imagine how you will feel after if you eat one and that will help you stay strong. Chewing a piece of gum can help me when I want a treat. Have a great day Klynn!

It sucks when temptation is right there in front of you. I get it. Is there a way a quarter of a donut will fit in your RDI? Would you be able to stop at just the quarter? I have this same issue and for me... I can't take that first bite. Either it sets off a craving where I HAVE to have the rest, or I eat it and immediately feel bad and guilty. I don't care for any of those feelings so I just don't start. Treats are easier when you've planned for them and can fit them in with a little advance mental and menu planning.

Good going. Would it be rude to take one and flatten it like a pancake???? It would no longer be fluffy and calling out to you. Have a great weekend, sweet people

Good job with the donuts! At the end of the day or week or month, it's just not worth it, not for me anyway. I had a leftover piece of cake yesterday and like momma, felt terrible after. Hope the rest of your day is good and temptation free. Summer events and outings sound fun. 😀

That really encouraged me. I have been craving donuts and ice cream, it took all that was in me NOT to go to Dairy Queen the other day. "My reward will be 1 pound gone," that truly resonance with me and I am going to keep it in mind as I struggle to lose a little more weight by June 30th. Thank you

Thanks for the post. The office donuts - I think there must be some sort of requirement that these appear weekly. I have to remember that there are not a personal attack on my WOE - there is no plot to sabotage me. I recognize that this is someone offering to be kind to the work group. I did print out the nutrition facts for a donut and place it next to the box - I though I was being funny. It didn't go over well. Now when the box magically appears with the amazing treats inside (especially when there is one of my favorites in there) - I just ignore it as what it is; a box of donuts. It has no power over me - other than what I choose to give it. it is not worth the trade for what I would have to not eat to have one. I am grateful for my job and the people I work with. I am grate for all of you who share their journey with me. I hope you have a great adventure today.

No surprise the nutritional sheet didn’t go over. They already know the donuts 🍩 are bad for them. Instead lead by example. No comments, no lectures, just keep doing what you are doing. A slimmer healthier you is all the statement you need to make. It will be noticed.

At our office today it was pizza, LOTS of pizza. I'd made plans to go out to lunch with a friend, so I abstained but I had to smell it for an hour and a half first. Ugh.

Nice post, even the longest journey is still one step at a time...every positive step is a step in the right direction and THEY ALL ADD UP!!!

Great job, Klynn82! I'd print out the nutrition facts for whatever treat is around and keep it in my desk drawer, so that I could reference it whenever the Do-NOTS (love that!) appear.
