A crazy start to my morning. I usually hit the snooze alarm 3 times and then get up. I'm one of those people who wake up really slowly and like quiet easy mornings but normally get up pretty early. Before I function it's then coffee and 1/2 hour quiet time. Hit the snooze 3 times this am and I did go back to sleep between them, look at the clock after the 3rd and it says 5:30! Now early for many it should have been 4:30. So run for the shower, toss some clothes on, make my lunch, look at the kitchen clock and it says 4:54 and realize it is still dark out. Check my phone 4:54. So I am now almost ready to leave and I have an hour to now slow down a bit before leaving by 6:05, have my coffee and destress after rushing. I hate rushing in the am, messes up my whole day.

This week has turned a bit busy with grandkids' ball games Monday and Wed which are almost an hour away so home about 9. There is rain predicted for this afternoon and evening so today may not happen, if rain I will head for the gym. I didn't go to the gym yesterday as that would make 3 late days in a row. I still have things home to take care of.

Granddaughter decided she doesn't like the city so moved back home Sunday and will go to college close to home the 1st year anyway. I will be painting that room before moving my things back in. It's not a major project like much of the house and I have the paint already. So I will have my spare room/office back and another closet.

Food has been OK even with a small cheeseburger and fries from McDonald's on Monday as I was off work late and didn't have time to detour to a little mid-eastern restaurant for takeout samosas as planned and get to the game. Going to get a few little chores done before heading off to work now that I am de-stressed a bit and have had a cup of coffee.

WOW.....I would need longer than you did to destress after a morning like that...I always get up at 4:00 a.m.....take the time to pray and ask my usual requests from GOD.....that is my time....then I can function.....still trying to find more waffle recipes....love making them and freezing.....then I have one every morning for breakfast....did finally decide to process the herb ones for bread crumbs....weather here is very unsettled.....not as hot, but very humid....rain off and on....not helping the garden....tomatoes do not need this much water and have already pulled up 3 or 4 flowers that just didn't make it....not very positive about the crop this year unless we get a change in the weather pattern. better try and get something done this evening....have a great week :-)

Kathryn, we had so much rain early last summer my tomatoes essentially half drowned and I only had a few tomatoes per plant. We needed some rain and could use more. Glen I have grandkids 3 directions so it works pretty well being where I am. Slow mornings for me for sure.
