Lost? No. You know where you are because you intentionally posted your weight. That means you understand that you are part of a supportive community and you are aware of the tools available to help you stay on the right path. You wandered... but now you're back again! We are so delighted to see you! I hope you feel better and that now that the fog of illness is gone you can see clearly where you need to go.

That brought tears to my eyes. I needed that. Thank you. My mother really needs to lose weight for her health, and she needs me to do this with her. I need it for my health too. I know what to do. Doing it is just hard. Thank you so much for your kind words.

Hey Shinier, welcome back. When you get all better, you will turn this around. Don't fret too much over this ok?

No— regaining wt is not inevitable. I have participated in the weight loss journey of a lot of obese and morbidly obese people in my life. Starting Long before the days of the dozens of weight loss theories that we know about now. The most obese person was over 400 lb. she lost over 250 lb in two years working a very simplistic program. But it was very successful for all these people. I see and/or hear from almost all of them frequently and none of them have gained the weight back. Because they didn’t “diet”. They were committed to a change in their life— and that is what they did, Changed their lifestyle. Don’t lose hope. You get to DECIDE if you put the weight back on. Glad to see you back. Just get started and concentrate on getting to a healthier, happier place.

Hopeless? No. You open your eyes to a new day, every day. Reading your profile, my sense is that you know what you want but your plan is as firm as overcooked spaghetti. Here's a suggestion to get some direction: Go to DietDoctor.com and search "PCOS" and "pre-diabetes" for excellent professional explanations, guidance, and dietary recommendations. Then, TAKE CHARGE. Every evening, before you close your eyes, PLAN you next day's meals in the FS Food Diary and COMMIT to executing your plan. Get a good night's REST. Every morning, DECIDE to be healthier than you were the day before by CHOOSING TO EXECUTE to your plan. Take things as they come, hour by hour, minute by minute. REST. You *will* get better! ________________________ TAKE CHARGE. PLAN. COMMIT. REST. DECIDE. CHOOSE to EXECUTE. REST.

re-commit to yourself. Be better than the person you were yesterday. If you make your mind and are determined, you will be successful! Hugs.

Listen, you are not hopelessly lost. Take a look at my weight, you will see, I have a lot more to lose than you do. I have lost 109lbs, but still have 150 to go. You can do this!! Get back up, dust yourself off, and lets go!! We can all do it together!

Hey, I've gained weight back with being sick and the affects of the meds. it happens. You simply can't be as active and often your body wants extra foods to help heal. Healing takes a lot out of anybody. listen to what your body is telling you. Mine today is needing some rest with the heat and still healing. I have things I want to get accomplished as a day off, doing it in bit and pieces, not all will get done and that's ok.

push that restart button and be gentle with yourself.

Just put one foot in front of the other again. You can get back on track. I've been there too, as a lot of us have, and it feels so hard at first, then it becomes more routine. You can do this!

I recently gained 8 lbs on a 4 day mini-vacay - I've already lost half of it. You're just fine 👍. Any progress, no matter how small, is a step in the right direction!!

I read that (when you feel ill) if it’s above the shoulders, it’s okay to work out. If you feel it below the shoulders (muscle aches, fever, etc), then your body probably needs it’s energy to fight the funk.

Hope you get to feeling better! You can always get back on track.

Because they didn’t “diet”. They were committed to a change in their life— and that is what they did, Changed their lifestyle. Don’t lose hope. (per Kenna) I agree no "diet" but a change in lifestyle a change in how you approach a couple very central things in one's life eating and activity. Sometimes health issues toss in a loop but you can go back to your way of eating and living. Sometimes small changes are the way to get there.

You guys are so great! Thank you so much! I have been sick, with migraines and unknown illnesses, flu, lingering bronchitis....since last September. It's just so defeating to feel so sick and spend SO much money on tests, and Drs and ER visits. I had lost 30 pounds. I have gained 20 back. I need to just find some strength and push back. Your support is so needed and appreciated. Thank you.
