Peasy3's Journal, 15 June 2018

20 days to vacation. I have been out of the country before but it was always by boat. This will be my first time traveling internationally via airplane. I am both excited and nervous.

My friend threw a pool party last night and I was the only adult that got into the pool. I received a couple of comments about my physique "you're ripped" and "that's how you keep that awesome body." I hope my appearance doesn't deter anyone from participating in activities. That would break my heart. I hope it was just that the pool was a little cool.

I brought a veggie salad that hardly anyone ate, brought it home and my husband devoured it while playing his video game. He kept telling me how good it was and me: "I know, you are preaching to the choir here!" A lot of my friends "don't eat vegetables", which is just insane to me. I couldn't live without vegetables. We go out to eat and a good portion of them order burgers and fries "hold the produce." Again, me: "I'll take their produce." At the party I had some rum and La Croix, a hamburger patty with mustard and a pile of the veggie salad. Delicious and filling. I ended up getting a workout in when I got home too. Boy, those ab exercises and burpees seem way easier after the rum kicks in, haha!

All of the warning lights on the dash went off this morning, figures considering our appointment for the vehicle is today. Happy Friday everyone! We have reservations at Morimoto for Father's Day and we are all pretty excited about it. Scale down another pound this morning.

Girl, if you look and feel good, you get in that pool and do some splishsplash!! Take it from one who knows, if ppl don't want to get in bc of their bodies, they are not going to want to no matter how you look! (Which is amazeballs, btw.)

Also, hope all goes well re: car.

Thank you Milla! Very good to know. Hopefully it was just something like weird gas and the lights stay off. I definitely do not want to be in a rush to find something, as a daily commuter becomes such a big part of your life. Thanks Jen, that is true. A lot of them don't get in the water until they have had enough liquid courage. Last night was a work/weekday night, so they were taking it easy. That probably explains it!

I think it is great you enjoyed the pool. I think people become self critical when they see someone who has succeeded at weight loss and they are not ready to accept that path for themselves. Just remember it reveals their character and not yours. Keep doing you. I hope you have a great vacation.

I'm sure you look great, but I'm married and my other-women-vision is impaired. I have driven every vehicle I've ever owned until the wheels fell off. The longer you drive a paid-for vehicle the more it pays you back. Great job on staring that Check Engine light down, sometimes you can take the battery cables off for a few minutes and when you put them back on the lights will be out, I get tire-pressure check lights sometimes or gas-cap lights and that always solves the problem.

Thanks Phil! We tried disabling the battery the first night. They came right back on. Not sure why they decided to go away all of a sudden. I would keep driving it but the poor gas mileage is wearing on my quality of life. @Glen I have a Nike shirt that says "I make time, not excuses." There is always time for a short workout. Just do it! Do it for you.

I know the sentiment, things that drag down the quality of life, burn 'em with gasoline!
