Hello all,

Since I've quit the gym I've been trying to get at least 5000 steps a day and I've started doing a 1:30 minute plank on my elbows every morning. I know it's not a lot but it's something. I'm still trying to eat healthy when I can but it's hard when I don't have the right food in my house and I don't have the time to shop for fresher ingredients, but that's ok too. I will keep trying to eat healthy.

I did have ice cream with my girls last night though I know I shouldn't have for my weight but I did it because of the look in my girls eyes when they asked if I would have ice cream with them. They are impressionable and I've already noticed how my constant complaining about my weight and eating and drinking habits have begun to rub off on them so I'm trying to change that. I want them to be able to enjoy the occasional treat without feeling guilty about it. If I can't do that too as an example then it's not helping them. I did use our ice cream bowls, even if I did cram as much as I could into the tiny thing, and used the demitasse spoon to put the sprinkles on because why not right? It was worth it to see my girls enjoy their dessert along with me instead of feeling bad about having a treat. I'm hoping to teach them all things in moderation and to keep moving throughout the day will promote a healthier lifestyle then I one I've been living.
